The experience begins at the operational base of Comarka Rafting & Kayak, where guides welcome participants and provide the necessary gear (wetsuit, jacket, helmet, life vest, boots, gloves, and paddle).
Once geared up, participants travel by van with the guides for a 5-minute ride to the river's entry point, where a technical and safety briefing is provided. The first section of the river spans 6 km of calm waters, offering a chance to admire Fitz Roy Mountain and its surrounding peaks, the Andean forest, the steppe, and native wildlife. This is an ideal moment to familiarize oneself with the raft and practice paddling and safety techniques.
The second section ventures into the canyon area. After the initial rapid called "Portage," participants will encounter a sequence of Class III to III+ rapids over 10 km, delivering an adrenaline-filled adventure. At the end of the rafting journey, a van will be waiting to return participants to the base, where they can change and enjoy a snack and drink to recharge.
